Voting – Catholics’ moral obligation

UPDATED on 11 APR. – Message from the Bishop on the General Election.

ORIGINAL POST

Malaysia Parliament was dissolved on 3 April 2013, paving the way for the 13th general election. The Election Commission will meet on 10 April 2013 to decide on the dates for nomination and polling.

During polling day, remember to go out to vote because to vote as a Malaysian citizen is our Catholic moral obligation.  Please click on this link to read what Fr. Clarence Devadass has to say about voting as our moral obligation.

Below is a video entitled ‘Responsible Stewardship and General Election’, produced by the Council of Churches of Malaysia (CCM),  in collaboration with the Catholic Research Centre. Do watch, understand, and share it.

In the meantime, don’t forget to pray everyday for for  “truth, justice and righteousness to prevail in the 13th general election.” (as stated by the Prayer Network)
